The Dandurin Gods
As translated from the Kutler.
In the beginning Toth, the great emptiness, wandered through the seven corners of existence. From her spirit rose Eolf and Yfraen, the heralds of life and death. Ever at odds, the two strove with one another in their mothers womb until Eolf, ripping existence asunder, brought forth Karyneth (sky) and Shol (land). The two sisters began to dance and their grace was such that Yfraen and Eolf ceased their strife to behold them. Eolf joined in their dance and from Karyneth he formed Krean (light), Ylafan (twilight), and Nykaela (love). From Shol he formed Karaelon (order), Ynen (beauty), and Atan (thought).
Yfraen, banished to the corners of existence, reached out into the womb of Toth and drew forth Sys (nightmare), Kyl (chaos), Traet (magic), and Kean (secret). Together they descended upon Karyneth and Shol, interrupting their dance. Yfraen took them both for his own and from them he bore his dread children. From Shol he bore Nalak (disease), Toanok (decay), and Anas (wilderness). From Karyneth he bore Alakra (destruction) and Ytor (domination). He reached into Karyneth again, and she, in her great pain, called out to Eolf to save her.
Long did Eolf and Yfraen strive over the mastery of Shol and Karyneth until at long last Yfraen and his spawn struck Eolf a deadly blow. Yfraen reached into Eolf and tore out his heart and cast it aside. The blood covered the earth and from it rose Ylays (war). From the place where Yfraen had cast Eolf's heart rose Anryth (time). Yfraen came again to Karyneth, and once more she cried out, but the children of Eolf hid in fear of Yfraen and his children.
Only Anryth and Ylays stepped forward and together they picked up their father's blade and castrated Yfraen. From the splash where it fell emerged Fratel (undeath). Eolf's sword rose as well and named itself Lesyl, or justice. Enraged, Yfraen led his spawn against the children of Eolf, but Lesyl stood in their way and held them off for a time. The Children of Eolf, invigorated by the power and stand of Lesyl, rose together to defend Karyneth and Shol in the Eternal War.
